I’m merging today’s happy with today’s You Capture theme at I Should be Folding Laundry since the prompt inspired images that all make me wonderfully happy.  So, you guys are in for a treat because today’s happy is centered around Quiet and that inspired not one but three pictures.  Three happy’s for this rainy Thursday afternoon.

Quiet is not something I’ll have for much longer.  Olivia will be here in less than two months and then I’ll pray for quiet and the ability to sleep.  Until then, Stephen and I are relishing the quiet we have in the midst of the chaos and stress of getting everything ready.

What does “quiet” mean to me?

It’s my favorite chair, a good book and my cup of tea.  The picture in the background of the woman in pink and the little blonde boy?  My husband and his momma, who is one of the kindest, sweetest women I know.  I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mother-in-law.

It is also my awesome, patient husband resting on the couch in his pjs with his dog, Max.

And it is a bear from my childhood patiently waiting in a nursery window for the next little girl to watch over.

All of this makes me supremely happy and fills me with peace and quiet.  If you get a chance, head over to I Should be Folding Laundry and check out the other You Capture entries, especially hers.  The last shot of her belly made me tear up a little.

As for my theme, happy, what’s your happy for today?

Many wonderful thanks to @tami_moore for the awesomely cute bunnies in the banner!

If you’ve never been to Beth’s blog, I Should Be Folding Laundry, go now.  It’s an amazing blog written by an amazing woman and I am such a big fan of it now.

She does a great Thursday prompt called You Capture where she gives you a word and you go “capture” that word in a photo.  You don’t have to be a professional photographer and you can even take the pic with your cell phone but it’s the word you capture that’s the key.

This week?

Hope.

Okay a little background before you jump to any conclusions here!

This was a bottle of wonderfully, delicious (and expensive) wine that I had been saving for a few years for a special occasion.  I got this before Stephen and I ever met and was storing it in a cabinet waiting for the right moment.

I decided to open it the night he moved in with me.  It seemed like a huge milestone for us and a big moment in our relationship.  The move was last minute due to some roommate issues but it was a move nonetheless.  We were now living together, sharing bills, buying groceries, essentially married and it was a huge deal to me.

So I popped this and we enjoyed it on our ratty couch in our tiny apartment and I felt hope.  Hope that this would work  and our relationship would mature into something wonderful.

We were married three years later.
