Finding the Happy – Day 27

When I was little, I could be read to for hours.  When I learned to read, I constantly had a book in my hands.  When I turned 12, I wanted to become a writer and wrote my first book in a spiral notebook that my mom still has.

I’ve already started a little collection for my girl in hopes that, she too, will love reading as much as I and her father do.

The two books on the far left are actually books from my stepdad’s childhood.  Yes, written back in the 1950′s – how cool is that?  It’s a little piece of history passed down.  We’ll see how long it lasts!

What’s your happy for today?

Many wonderful thanks to @tami_moore for the awesomely cute bunnies in the banner!

How cool is that book on the shelf?! I too was an avid reader. Went to advanced reading classes and kept a journal since I was 12. Something very cathartic about it… Keep writing!

I recognise the spiral bound book, as I also have two of the same series!! Have been looking for something real Winnie the Pooh, but all I can find here is the Disney version, which I dislike intensely. But I’ll keep looking…books or clothes.
