Finding the Happy – Day 13

Today’s happy is another sequence of three photos.  The reason is because I have to tell a story about what happened today.

I’ve been having some sort of crazy sinus thing lately.  For two weeks, I’ve been stuffed up which is awesome when your lung capacity is already being invaded by a rumbling baby.  I complained about it on Facebook (because I do that) and my mom wrote to me telling me to try some Netipot thingy.  I replied that we had no money so I’d get one after Stephen got paid.  She replied, “I’ll send you a care package.”

Her care package got here today.

First, my mom.  Seeing is how she lives 700 miles away, I can’t exactly take a picture of her today so here is one that is almost exactly a year old (excuse me while I get giddy for a moment at the fact that my one year anniversary is coming up…).

Yep, me with the dorky grin and my super skinny mother.  She needs to eat a sandwich…seriously.

This is what I was expecting her care package to consist of and nothing more:

She’s hosting a Pampered Chef party and called to tell me she was sending me a catalogue and to pick out something for my birthday.  Win.

However, the box was a lot heavier than those two items would indicate so here is what the rest of the box contained:

The only thing missing from this picture are the Thin Mints, which were immediately placed in the freezer.

As they should be.

Can I just tell you, as a pregnant woman, how unbelievably awesome it is to open a box from your mother and see it packed with candy and Girl Scout cookies?

My mom wins happy for today hands down.
