A GIRL!!!

Little Olivia Lynn Wright will be born sometime between May 4 and May 12, 2010 and we cannot wait to meet her!
I say between May 4 and May 12 because she’s already ahead of the game coming in at 1 lb. 4 oz. This puts her about a week ahead of schedule so they might adjust my due date later if needed. For now, they’re leaving it the 12th unless she has another major growth spurt and decides to say hi early.
Needless to say, Stephen and I are extremely excited to be having a daughter. So far everyone in my family that has had children (my brother and two cousins) have all had boys and Stephen is one of three boys so a girl is a very welcome change to the mix.
Olivia will be spoiled rotten.
Rotten.
Stephen is currently shopping for a shotgun. ;)
Other than that, she’s healthy as can be – all her measurements are within the normal range. And I am doing well, too – my LEEP procedure back in May is having no adverse affects on my cervix or the pregnancy so that’s a sigh of relief. To top it off, so far every one of my blood tests has come back with great news. I’ve been tired as of late but I attribute that to the holidays and lots of visiting and being “on” for many people.
We’re nearing the 6 month mark, just a few short weeks shy of the third trimester. We’ll be taking a tour of Northside Hospital soon and attending a birthing course taught by the midwives at our clinic in the next couple of months.
After that it’s shower time!!
Nursery
The big news with the nursery concerns the furniture currently in the guest room. Some of it is already potentially spoken for but we are giving away the guest room furniture to any friends and family in the Atlanta area who wants it. We unfortunately have no room for it and need to be rid of it this month so we can move on to painting and getting the nursery furniture from IKEA.
Anything that doesn’t get taken by the end of January is getting taken to Goodwill for donation. So, if you are interested, give Stephen or myself a ring or shoot us a message on Facebook/Email/Here and we’ll let you know what’s available.
So much to do and so many exciting things happening!

I cannot wait to welcome my granddaughter! With two such gorgeous parents Stephen will definitely need the shotgun!!!! Poor kid, she might be able to go out on a date at age 35.

I'm soooo excited!!!! Thanks to Teresa for calling me and getting me off my duff to read the computer news about Olivia…Love Tristina's updates. David can tell Stephen all about Daddy and girls. Wonder if we'll have a band member, cheerleader or softball player? Time will tell. Can't wait for the big day. Much love, Grandma Pat

I love that you are keeping to your wedding colors for the baby's room mostly and also not nixing blue out of hand simply because Olivia hasn't a willy.
Could you remind us all where you are registered. Momma was asking when she was down for New Years but I only knew Babies R Us.-
I love love love blue and I figure she's going to be receiving a lot in the way of pink gifts anyway! We're registered at Babies R Us and Target. Target really only has the Pooh nursery theme – bedding, curtains, room decor, etc. and some miscellaneous, and then BRU has everything else. =)
